Time - Meeting was called to order at 12:35 pm Members Present -Tracy Calvit, Doyle O'Neal and Jerry Richardson. Treasurer's Report - $7,386.65 - all bills paid A "reminder" letter was mailed to old members who have not renewed for 2011. Membership is effective from January 1 thru December 31 of each year. We keep all current members listed in the February Good News, but remove those who have not signed up in the April issue. The following people have volunteered to service as Board Members for the next three years - Paul Little, Jackie Ford, and Becky Tittle. Tracy Calvit suggested we obtain pricing for new marketing folders. We are not sure how old the others are that we are currently using, but most of the staples in the spines have rusted. Jerry and Doyle agreed we should obtain pricing. Larry Odom is building a new apartment complex - units will be available in June. Contact # is 903-983-3466. The Welcome Sign in front of the Parkview Apartments is faded. Tony Raymond is going to find a boy scout/cub scout to paint it to earn a badge. Faith with the apartment complex is donating the paint. The Gregg County Funding application for the upcoming year was submitted on May 25. We requested the same funding as received last year. The Gregg County Quarterly Funding report was filed on time by Tracy. Jerry Richardson will contact Kevin Modisette about joining the Chamber and he will also deliver a Welcome Packet to the new business "Twice Is Nice" located in the Gateway Shopping Center. Next Meeting - Wednesday, August 17, noon at the Southern Hills Golf Course. There meeting in April did not have an officer present and so the agenda was not available. Meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m. If the date of our next meeting changes, it will be posted on our web site.
